Learn how to bulk upload leads into the Fuse Pipeline via CSV.
Manager-level users can upload leads in bulk to a Pipeline using a CSV file. In this guide, we'll walk you through the step-by-step process of using the .csv uploader to streamline your lead management tasks.
Prepare Your CSV File 📑
- Download the CSV lead template from Fuse: Or, click here to download the template.
- Line Limit: Your CSV file can contain up to 250 lines. There is a daily limit of 1500 lines, meaning you can upload up to 6 CSV files containing 250 lines each daily.
CSV File Breakdown
The CSV file must be formatted using the column names below. For every required field, there must be data populated within the CSV. Upon upload, Fuse runs a check of the CSV and alerts you to any errors with the file, along with where they are located.
The below table breaks down each column, including whether a column is required for upload and the format needed, if applicable.

Upload Your CSV File 🖥️
- In your workspace, navigate to the Pipeline.
- Click the down arrow next to the “New Lead” button.
- Select “Upload Leads (CSV)” from the dropdown menu.
- Browse and upload your file.
CSV File Review Step
The CSV file upload feature includes an interactive step after you select your CSV for import. Within this step, you will be met with a screen wherein you can edit all the fields of your CSV, and address any crucial errors or action suggestions, right from Fuse. This step is platform-standard and will appear even if you have no errors within your CSV file.
Key errors are outlined in red and must be addressed before proceeding to import leads. Fields outlined in gold include tool tips and suggestions for you to take a look at before importing, but they won't stop you from proceeding. That said, it's best to ensure you review those suggestions to get the best experience with the product.
Please Note: If the Fallback Lead Owner field contains a value that is not a match for an active user on your realm, the field will automatically default to the CSV uploader’s user email.
Finally, you're able to add new leads right within this screen, as well as delete leads by clicking the three-dot menu on the left side of a row. Be careful deleting leads! There is no undo option within this step.
As well, any changes made to the data on this screen will not be reflected on your original CSV. When you're working in the CSV file review screen, you're working within Fuse, so your original file will remain untouched.
Validate and Import Leads ✅
- Email Validation: The system will automatically validate the email addresses in your list. This process is quick and ensures that your list is clean and valid.
- The upload will be rejected if more than 20% of the emails are invalid. You will need to review and clean your list before attempting another upload.

Account Creation Within Pipeline CSV Upload
Fuse is not creating accounts in your AMS. The CSV upload functionality works identically to the way Fuse forms populate leads within the Pipeline.
If there is a lead in your CSV that uses an email address matching an existing account from your AMS integration:
- That lead will get connected to that account.
- That lead will be owned by that account rep.
If there is a lead in your CSV that uses an email address which does not match any existing accounts from your AMS:
- A “disconnected account” will be created on your AMS list within Fuse.
- The lead will be linked to this disconnected account.
- The lead will be owned by the Fallback Lead Owner.
- The account will be owned by the Fallback Lead Owner.
- If in the future you create an account in your AMS with that email address, the account will sync to that AMS record. And, the lead will link to that account.
