In this article, you will learn how to create a birthday campaign that will automatically send a birthday email to your Secondary Contacts on their birthdates.

Create a New Campaign

To create a new campaign, first, navigate to the Content Library:

Find the Custom Campaign named "Birthday Greetings" and click the "Customize Button":

Determining Your Audience

Here, you will want to click on the "Secondary Contacts" sequence to select that audience:

When Are People Added and Subtracted From the Audience?

Now that you are in the Secondary Contacts Segment, you'll need to determine when you want people added to the audience. The default option here is "Ongoing," where all group members are added at launch and new members are added when they match your group.

Next, scroll down to view the "Steps." You will have three different pre-written birthday emails to choose from. You can click on the "eye" icon to preview each message:

After you choose the email message you would like to use, you will need to enable it. Click on the setting "gear" icon for that email step and toggle on "Enable":

Launching Your Campaign

Now that you've created your campaign, it's time to set it live by clicking "Launch," on the bottom right corner:

Review your changes, and click "Go Live."

You're all set! Now your Secondary Contacts will automatically receive an email from you on their birthdays!
