Resolving common Google Search Console errors and resubmitting your sitemap.
While the AR Client Experience team does not manage or maintain your Google account, we are here to help when it comes to troubleshooting common errors Google Search Console may be emailing you!
Some Common Google Search Errors
- 404s
- 301s
- “Noindex”
- Blocked by robots.txt
Note: These errors may often be false positives and not cause for worry.
Resolving These Errors
If you receive an error or warning email from Google, regarding issues with your site and pages being indexed, please reach out to our Client Experience team at team@agencyrevolution.com, forwarding the entire error email in your message to us.
The AR team will investigate these forwarded issues and send any steps that need to be taken by you, resolving what we can on our end as well.
The final step for any Google Search Console error is to resubmit your exact sitemap to Google.
Note: Since Agency Revolution does not manage your Google account, we cannot guarantee a resolution every time.
Resubmitting Your Sitemap
To resubmit your sitemap, please follow the instructions laid out by Google here. While our support team cannot handle this step for you, we will provide you with the exact sitemap link to resubmit when possible.
When resubmitting your sitemap, it is important to ensure you are submitting the full, accurate URL into Google. That means making sure you have the “https://” prefix to the URL, as well as making sure you do or do not include “www” before your domain name.
If you’re unsure if your website uses “www,” visit your website’s homepage and examine the URL in your browser bar. If “www” is present, your website and sitemap will require that be included. If “www” is not present, do not include it in your sitemap.
