How to Configure Agency Revolution’s Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Login

Learn how to configure your multi-factor authentication within the AR workspace.

Please note: this feature is currently in Beta and is not available to all AR users.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a key part of ensuring platform security. Agency Revolution offers email and SMS options for MFA to keep your account secure.

How Do I Set Up MFA?

Upon logging in to the AR workspace, you will be prompted to secure your account. Simply click “Set Up MFA” to get started.

The first time you configure MFA on your Agency Revolution account, the email associated with your AR account will be sent a one-time passcode.

The code will arrive in your inbox from the notify@agencyrevolution.com email address. Copy and paste this 6-digit code into the setup screen, and click “Verify.”

Congratulations! You’ve just secured your AR account and set up MFA.

Going forward, every 30 days, you’ll be required to re-verify your account by following the above steps: retrieving a code sent to your email and copy and pasting that code into the AR login screen.

How Can I Switch My MFA Method to SMS?

To change your MFA method to SMS, navigate to your user profile page by clicking on the gear icon in the top right of your workspace, and then clicking on your name.

Click over the the “Security” option on the right and change your MFA method from email to SMS by clicking “Set As Primary” next to the SMS option.

Click “Save,” to finalize your selection. You will then be logged out of the workspace, asked to MFA in with your previous method, and then sent an additional code to your cell phone number.

Once you successfully re-authenticate your login, your MFA code will be texted to the phone number you entered during SMS set up, rather than emailed to your Agency Revolution login email. 

Follow the above steps to change your MFA method back to the email if you'd like. Just remember: you will have to re-authenticate with SMS one more time, for security purposes, before switching back to email.

FAQs

Is MFA optional?

MFA is a mandatory step added to the Agency Revolution login flow meant to help keep your account even more secure. It is not optional and cannot be turned off.

How long does my MFA verification last?

Your device will be remembered for 30 days. After 30 days, you will have to reverify with a code sent to the “Primary” MFA method on your account, either email or SMS.

If you manually log out, switch browsers, or switch devices, you will also be asked to re-authenticate for security reasons.

Can I use an authenticator app like Microsoft or Google Authenticator?

The only options for MFA support are email and SMS. Our platform does not support third-party authentication apps.

Do I have to have MFA for the AR workspace and for the AR Social Media Add-On?

Yes, you will be required to MFA into the AR workspace and into the AR Social Media add-on.

I’m having trouble logging in with the MFA login process. What should I do?

Please ensure you’ve attempted to receive a code for each authentication method you have enabled on your account. If you’re unable to receive a code for your AR-associated email and SMS number, we may be able to reset your MFA configuration, but we will need clearance from the main point of contact on your account to do so.
